postheadericon Cranberry Hastens Cancer Cell Death

Cranberries are loaded with nutrient compounds called proanthocyanidins (PACs). These fascinating plant polyphenols promote apoptosis (cell suicide) in human ovarian cancer cells, prostate cancer cells, and neuroblastoma cells. They directly reduce cancer-cell division and have cell-killing effects on certain cancer cells. With more research it is likely that these plant phenols will be found to help all cancers by inducing cancer cell suicide.

All forms of cranberries have phytochemicals. Highest to lowest amounts are fresh, frozen, dried, sauce and jellied cranberries. This makes sense. Sauces and jellies contain both processed sugar and water both dilute nutrients. Fresh or flash frozen are best and make part of a great smoothie.

A diet rich in any and all edible berries are good both for preventive as well as those who already have cancer. A German researcher revealed the likely secret behind berries’ cancer fighting ability. For the normal cells, these chemicals are powerful antioxidants, protecting them from everyday damage.

But cancer cells are highly reduced. To them, these chemicals are actually oxidants. Moving the oxidation/reduction potential of a cancer cell toward normal is a great way to induce it to commit apoptosis (cell suicide). If you have cancer, or are at risk, this is important information. You can not overdose on berries. Eat as many as you can. Studies have found time after time those people who est mostly raw fruits and vegetables have lower death rates from all causes. Raw fruits and vegetables are where the nutrients are located.

Doctor Who Cures CancerMore than thirty years ago, Dr. John Heller, who was then the medical director of Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Center, privately said of Dr. Revici, “I’ve known him for ten years. I don’t know how he does it, but people walk in dead and walk out alive.” This is the story of that man and his many lucky patients, and of a medical establishment that has fought him every step of the way.  Read The Full Story
